Intelligence

Although military intelligence typically refers to secret information about an enemy, the term could also refer to gathering and synthesizing information on an important subject. The possessor of the information would understand principles, truths, and facts about a subject. This knowledge and understanding could enable development of a strategic plan for a specific course of action.
