"Brainstorming provides for face-to face discussion between individuals with the intent of generating ideas. In a round-robin fashion, group members offer ideas, which are recorded for later discussion. Ideas that seem to have a nominal amount of group agreement are eventually retained (McGrath 1984). Brainstorming is valuable for generative-type group tasks, such as making lists of things and generating ideas."
