Monte Carlo Simulation

Monte Carlo simulation is a way of evaluating a large number of possible scenarios (Openshaw 1989). A scenario represents one possible set of levels for each random variable (e.g., values of attributes and weights) and the calculation of the levels of all variables involved in an MCDM decision rule that depends on the random variables.
