Spatial multicriteria decision rules can be categorized into multiattribute and multiobjective decision rules. Spatial multiattribute methods are based on the assumption that the attributes serve as both decision variables and objectives. There is a one-to-one relationship between an objective and its underlying attribute; that is, each objective is measured by means of a single attribute.
