Phase 3 - Condition Assessment

Condition assessment is a major phase of planning process, during which the current state of the system is critically assessed. A decision maker assesses the situation by domain data collection, modeling and analysis. For decision processes which adopt a multiattribute decision making approach, a set of criteria for evaluating alternative problem solutions will also be developed during this phase. This phase is often referred to as the "intelligence" phase in decision making process.

A Participant Role Can Be Filled By Different Professional Roles Or Stakeholder Roles During Different Geodesign Process Phases/Steps. For Example, During The Constraints Specification Step, The Advisor Role Is Often Assumed By Business, Community, Public, Resource Owner. Mediator, GIS Analyst, Technology Provider, Decision Maker, Scientist, Lawyer, Policy Expert; During The Domain Data Analysis Step, The Advisor Role Is Often Assumed By GIS Analyst, Resource Manager, Scientist.
